OUR HISTORY
In 1921, Aug. was registered. Lundhs Metallmanufaktur AB in the Royal College of Commerce by August Lundh who also ran the company. After his death, his son Tore Lundh took over the business together with his wife Margareta Lundh.
Evert Lundkvist, Folke Pettersson, Stig Johansson & Tore Norén buy the company from Margareta in 1947. In 1990 the company is sold to Proderma and Lars Elis Karlsson. Upon Lars Eli's retirement in 1995, his son Peter Karlsson took over his share in the company.
Since 2001, we have been part of a company group together with Mälarplast and PolymerDon. The business is conducted in the factory in the Vilsta Industrial Area in Eskilstuna. In 2007 Malko was acquired, whose plates with the characteristic granite pattern are a common sight on many school canteen tables around Sweden and that was the start of a transformation by August Lundh.
In 2009 the last of over 500,000 whistle pans was produced and since then August Lundh focuses wholeheartedly on supplying Sweden's commercial kitchens with high-quality durable plastic tableware.
At the beginning of 2010, the airline SAS signed a multi-year agreement with our sister company Mälarplast regarding the manufacture of plastic cabin service equipment.
Among the products are specially adapted boxes, trays and a multiple award-winning serving jug. At the same time, it was decided that August Lundh would be responsible for the sale of the product range to other customers in the aviation and catering sector under the Travel Catering by August Lundh brand.
